Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana has expressed his excitement after sealing a move to Italian Serie A side Atalanta, describing the transfer as an “unmissable opportunity.”
The 22-year-old joins the Bergamo-based club from English Championship outfit Southampton in a deal that could rise to £18 million, marking a significant step in his career.
Speaking to Atalanta’s official media, Sulemana admitted he had no second thoughts once the club expressed interest.
“I’m very excited to play in the Champions League. When Atalanta called, I had no doubts,” Sulemana said.
“This is one of the best clubs in Italy in recent years — I couldn’t say no. It was an unmissable opportunity.”
Atalanta have grown into one of Italy’s most admired clubs, earning a reputation for vibrant attacking football and consistent Champions League appearances. Their strong domestic campaign last season secured another top-four finish and a spot in Europe’s elite competition.
Known for his explosive pace, direct dribbling, and flair on the wings, Sulemana believes joining Atalanta will provide the perfect platform to develop his game further.
He now becomes part of a youthful and dynamic squad, joining a host of emerging talents that the club has successfully nurtured in recent years. Fans will be eager to see what impact the Ghanaian international can make both in Serie A and on the continental stage.
