Etoile du Sahel were on Sunday beaten by Kumasi Asante Kotoko two nil in their first leg encounter of the Caf Champions league game.

A free-kick from Augustine Okrah in the 3rd minute gave Kotoko the lead before Richard Arthur added a second in the early hours of the second half to give Kotoko a two nil lead going into the second round.

In an interview with Kumasi FM,the team manager for Etoile Sportive du Sahel, Dodo Lteif has discounted Kotoko's victory insinuating that they were grievously helped by the Liberian match official.

"I didnt see a football game,I saw a referee game. I don't know what CAF is doing with this referee, this is not refereeing. This is the champions league and you dont have to do this. Its however not new to us,we know what they can do."

"I respect the Asante Kotoko team, they played very well with good players but this is not refereeing. Congratulations to Kotoko, this is the first leg and we will see how the second match will go in Tunisia."he furiously stated.

The return leg will be played on 27 September, 2019 at the Stade Olympique de Sousse.
