Sultry Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, has served notice to persons who have mentioned her names as one of the numerous Ghanaian celebrities who have heavily invested in Menzgold.

According to the mother of one, "Whoever is using my image in this menzgold crap better watch out,".

She added: "I don’t have any investment with them! Why don’t you write about their artistes. Rubbish!!!"

Her outburst is as a result of claims that she is one of the long list of Ghanaian celebrities including Asamoah Gyan, Shatta Wale, Jackie Appiah, Joselyn Dumas, Captain Smart, Emelia Brobbey among others who invested huge sums of money into the troubled firm.

However, Miss Nelson insists the list which contains her name is fabricated adding that she has never entered any Menzgold office.

Menzgold was asked to suspend its gold trading operations with the public by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

According to the SEC, Menzgold had been dealing in the purchase and deposit of gold collectibles from the public and issuing contracts with guaranteed returns with clients, without a valid license from the Commission.

This, the SEC said was in contravention of “section 109 of Act 929 with consequences under section 2016 (I) of the same Act.”
