Entertainment pundit, Ola Michael, has expressed skepticism over gospel musician, Ohemaa Mercy's assertion that God instructed her to get a divorce.
Drawing from his own experiences, he noted that during prayers, individuals hear many voices, but not all are from God.
He emphasized the importance of discernment before acting on such voices.
The Neat FM presenter suggested that while Ohemaa Mercy might believe God guided her to end her marriage, it is likely she made the decision based on her circumstances.
"I have prayed on the mountains before, but not all the voices you hear are from God. That's why God gave us wisdom to reflect and decide if it's right. I doubt God told Ohemaa to get a divorce. Ohemaa said she spoke to God and was given the go-ahead to divorce...
"God has given us the understanding that if a marriage is not beneficial, it is okay to divorce because it’s complicated," Ola said during the United Showbiz programme aired on UTV on September 14, 2024.
This discussion follows Ohemaa Mercy's revelation that she received divine permission to divorce her ex-husband, despite having children together.
Her claims have been met with skepticisms by some who find it hard to believe that God would endorse the dissolution of a marriage, regardless of its difficulties.
