Father of new Arsenal signing Thomas Partey is excited about his son's move to the Emirates Stadium on transfer deadline day on Monday.

According to Mr. Jacob Partey, his son Thomas sought advice from him when he wanted to leave Athletico Madrid and he told him to deal with the management of the Madrid based club.

Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based ASHH FM, Mr Pratey says that he always had the believe that his son will play for a big team in the near future

"Thomas Teye Partey told me earlier when he wanted to leave Athletico Madrid and I advice him that any team that wanted his service should deal with the management of Athletico Madrid

Because of the advice I have been giving him and me being a former footballer he always contact me for an advice"

Mr Partey revealed that he used to be a Bofoakwa Tano supporter during his youthful days but is not sure what local team new Arsenal signing Thomas Partey supports.

"I had a believe that, with the way he was playing he will play a big team in England one day

In my young age I was supporting Bofoakwa and I don't know the team Thomas loves here in Ghana so I can't tell the team he will want to play if he comes to Ghana"

According an elated Dad he is known cladded in a long white apparel commonly called 'jalabia' to celebrate his son's Arsenal move.

"I feel very happy and excited and now am wearing a white jaalabia celebrating

I thank Ghanaian for their prayers and I know all Ghanaian are happy because Thomas Partey is their deputy captain"

"He called me to alert me that he was going to sign for Arsenal but for today I have not gotten him because his line is busy just as mine" he added.
