Ghanaian highlife musician-turned-pastor, Nana Yaw Akosah, better known as Papa Shee, has revealed how a plane almost crashed because of him.

In an interview on Work and Happiness, he stated that the incident occurred when he embarked on a trip to Germany.

According to him, despite hearing the voice of God on several occasions, he wanted to continue to be a highlife musician.

He added that he thereafter entered into a covenant with God, and pledged to be His messenger.

For about 10 years now, Papa Shee has been preaching the Word of God, both home and abroad.

He is currently in Ghana on a regional tour to preach the gospel based on the direction of God.

Papa Shee is convinced if he had not obeyed God, he would have been a dead man.

Years ago, he recorded songs like Mebo m’amanne sen nie (1994), Deda me (1996), Atadwe (2000), Koyon so (2002), and Ate pa (2004).

Papa Shee who was criticised by a section of the Ghanaian populace for his ‘profane’ lyrics is now an evangelist who counsels and prays for people through “The Lords Tower Prayer line”.
