Keche Andrew, one-half of the popular Ghanaian music duo Keche has disclosed that he would openly endorse the National Democratic Party (NDC) if requested by his wife.
Keche Andrew, real name Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, is currently married to Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central constituency in the Western Region.
Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Kingdom FM on August 15, 2024, he said he would not mind performing if called by any political party but would choose the NDC in support of his wife.
“I’ve been on platforms with my wife who is an NDC candidate. I’ve performed at my wife’s political campaigns. If it was the other way round, she would definitely support me.
“It doesn’t matter. If the NDC calls me right now, I will drop everything and show up. I have to support her. I will do it because it’s my wife’s party. Takoradi is our home, so I have to just let it come home,” he said.
Keche Andrew's comments come as the party continues to campaign for the upcoming elections on December 7, 2024, promising significant economic reforms and improvements.
NDC flagbearer and former President John Dramani Mahama will be competing against Vice-President and NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, New Force Movement leader Nana Kwame Bediako, and Movement for Change leader Alan Kyerematen.
