Samson Ahi, Member of Parliament for Bodi, has suggested that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) may struggle to maintain power in Ghana if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) executes its strategies effectively.
Ahi pointed out that the NPP's previous victories, particularly those achieved with strong support from just two regions, raise questions about the integrity of the voter register, particularly in the Ashanti and Eastern regions.
Speaking on Adom TV, Ahi remarked, "If the NDC does things right, the NPP may not hold power again in their lifetime. Winning with only two regions signals a problem with the register, especially in the Ashanti Region."
Addressing claims of voter apathy contributing to a potential NPP loss in the 2024 elections, Ahi dismissed the notion, stating that Ghanaians, across the political spectrum, voted against the NPP.
On the prospect of a new government under former President John Dramani Mahama, Ahi emphasized that Mahama's leadership will break the stereotype that all politicians are the same, offering a fresh direction.
He also highlighted the 24-Hour Economy plan, which he believes will create sustainable jobs, contrasting it with the Akufo-Addo administration's failure to do so.
