Suspended Chief Executive Officer of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) Mr. Agyenim Boateng Agyei says that the public is peddling untruth about him.

President Akuffo-Addo recently suspended the CEO for alleged acts of corruption after the airing of a documentary put together by freelance journalist, Manasseh Azure Awini.

The suspended CEO who yesterday appeared before the office of the Special Prosecutor claims that the public is judging him wrongly.

According him he is been vilified unnecessarily by Ghanaians for unsubstantiated allegations of corruption.

The PPA boss was fingered in a documentary piece which revealed that a company owned by him TDL was been used as a vehicle to acquire government contracts from his end and sell them off to the highest bidder.

Speaking after been questioned by the office of the Special prosecutor he spoke to the media for the first time.

When asked whether he regrets anything done in office he responded; “The public is simply speaking words of untruth”

“I regret the way I am been crucified for doing nothing” he concluded.
