Legendary former Kotoko player and coach, Malik 'Johnny' Jabir has put his heart in the ring for the vacant Kumasi Asante Kotoko job barely 24 hours after the dismissal of coach Maxwell Konadu.

Results have been very difficult for the team to come by this season in the Ghana Premier League despite the massive recruitment, branding and commercialization of the team.

The porcupine warriors have been piss poor this season in the Ghana Premier League struggling to put up any impressive performance.

Kotoko have in four games this season won one, drawn two and lost one with the general performance dire and painful to watch.

The former Kotoko gaffer speaking in an interview with Kumasi based Ashh Fm says the sacking of Maxwell Konadu came too early and the management should have waited for at least 10 games.

"If the management wants me i don't have problem I'm coming to serve Kotoko not anyone and if they want me I'm ever ready for Asante Kotoko job

We should appoint local coach not foreign coach" he added.
