Lady Dentaa Amoateng MBE, CEO of GUBA Enterprise, has dismissed the idea of entering politics, despite her growing national and international recognition.
Her comments come days after Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa announced that she would be awarded a diplomatic passport for her contributions to Ghana’s development.
In an interview on Hitz FM with Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Dentaa said her current work has a meaningful impact and she prefers to continue in that space.
“Not now. I feel like I still have a lot of work to do. The work is huge. So I prefer to keep doing what I am doing. Because what I do affects the government anyway. It benefits the government. I want to be where I am. I am happy with where I am," she said.
Through GUBA and other initiatives, Dentaa has been a prominent force in promoting Ghanaian culture, tourism, and the creative arts on the international stage.
Her early work, including The Dentaa Show, helped spotlight Ghanaian talent, while her networking platforms have created global opportunities for creatives.
She has also collaborated with stakeholders to advance Ghana's tourism industry and previously served on the Governing Board of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
