Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Petroleum Council (GNPC) and forrmer Executive Cairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. K.K Sarpong has quelled rumours he has intentions of vying for the vacant Ghana Football Association Presidential hot seat.

With the normalization committee who were appointed to temporarily handle the affairs of the country's footballing matters gradually grounding to a halt, probable names who are eyeing the coveted position have started throwing their names around.

Speaking in an interview with Accra based Asempa FM, the former Kotoko boss has dispelled rumours of him eyeing the position.

"I can tell you emphatically that I’m not interested in GFA presidency and I can never be interested. I can assist in other ways but not as the president,”

He however entreated members of the football fraternity to be objective and help the development of our beautiful game.

"Football people should have a good heart and be objective going forward,”

Former GFA Vice President  Mr. George Afriyie has made his intentions clear while Executive Chairman of Dreams Fc has also outlined his vision for the FA presidency when given the nod.

Winfred Osei Kwaku Palmer, Nana Yaw Amponsah and other people have also made their aspirations for the seat clear.
