Acting National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay, has said he has enough strength to lead the party as National Chairman for the next four years.
The NPP will be electing its national executives who will steer affairs of the party for the next four years.
The party just concluded its elections at the regional level.
Freddie Blay, who was appointed Acting Chair in 2015 after the suspension of the substantive Chairman, Paul Afoko, is seeking substantive election in the party’s 7 July polls.
“I am still on my feet, it is an honour to be the National Chair for the NPP,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen on Friday, 11 May.
“There is still blood flowing through my veins, in Malaysia somebody at 92 was even voted for.
“I am not up to 70 years, I am still on my feet, I am not tired.”
Mr Blay will be facing off with Alhaji Short and Stephen Ntim in the party’s polls.
