Spanish-born of Ghanaian descent Inaki Williams has signed a four-year contract extension with Athletic Bilbao until 2025, the club said on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old winger's release clause has been increased from 50 million euros ($61 million) to 80 million euros although it will progressively increase to 108 million euros.
The fast-paced attacker was previously linked with a move to English giants Liverpool but has opted to commit his long term future to Bilbao.
Williams has scored six goals in 26 matches this season for the Basque club.
Born to a Ghanaian father and a Liberian mother in Basque, Spain, the striker is eligible to represent any of the three countries at senior level. He has already represented Spain at under-21 level.
