The Deputy Minister for Education, Clement Apaak, has sent a clear signal that acts of indiscipline in schools will be dealt with decisively, as the government moves to safeguard teaching and learning environments across the country.
Speaking at a sponsors’ appreciation breakfast jointly organised by the Ministry of Education and the National Teaching Council Ghana in Accra, Dr. Apaak stressed that disruptive conduct would no longer be indulged.
“No indisciplined student will be pampered,” he said, noting that while most learners remain committed to their studies, a small minority pose risks to peace, safety, and academic progress in schools.
According to him, the government is resolute in preserving schools as secure and orderly spaces where both teachers and students can thrive without fear or disruption.
“We will not allow anyone bent on causing chaos to undermine the learning process,” he cautioned, adding that students who cross the line into criminal behaviour would be subjected to the full rigour of the law.
Dr. Apaak used the occasion to commend teachers for their dedication and sacrifice, describing them as central to national development. He assured educators that their efforts in shaping young minds were recognised and deeply appreciated by government.
His remarks come amid broader efforts to tighten discipline and raise academic standards in schools, as authorities seek to protect every child’s right to quality education in a safe and supportive environment.
