John Boye has been ruled out of Ghana's Afcon double header against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe in the 2021 Afcon qualifier.

The Fc Metz defender who has been a mainstay in the Black Stars squad will not be able to play for the Black Stars due to an injury he sustained in his team's one nil win over Fc Nantes in the French ligue 1.

The experienced centre back suffered an injury midway through the game but managed to play through the pain barrier before he was replaced with Zambian international Stoppila Zunzu at half time.

Boye since his injury has not featured for his club side FC Metz and will no tb available for selection in Ghana's key home game against South Africa on the 14th November 2019 after which we play Islanders Sao Tome and Principe three days later.
