Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Nortey has officially signed with Israeli second-tier outfit Al Wahda Kafr Qasim, marking the latest chapter in his journeyman career across Europe.

The 25-year-old joins from Israeli giants Maccabi Haifa and expressed his enthusiasm in a brief statement: "I’m excited to join, meet my teammates and fans. See you all soon!"

Nortey’s career has seen him feature in several countries, including Denmark, Latvia, Romania, and Cyprus.

His stint in Cyprus with Enosis Neon Paralimniou FC in 2024 started brightly but was unfortunately cut short by a long-term injury. That setback prompted a rehabilitation period under the guidance of respected Ghanaian fitness trainer Francis Totti Laryea.

Born in Teshie, Nortey began his European journey in March 2021 with Danish lower-tier side Naestved Boldklub.

He later moved to Latvian club BFC Daugavpils, steadily building his experience and resilience in various leagues.

Though he is yet to be capped at any level for Ghana, Nortey’s versatility and experience across multiple football systems add depth to Al Wahda Kafr Qasim’s midfield as they aim for promotion in the Liga Leumit.

His arrival is seen as a strategic addition for the Israeli club, looking to bolster their squad with a player known for his work ethic, composure, and tactical awareness.
