Ghanaian forward Issah Abass was the hero for GD Chaves on Saturday evening as he climbed off the bench to clinch the winner for his side against Benfica.

The former Ghana U-23 winger helped his side overcome league leaders Benfica in their match day 28 clash at the Estadio Municipal Manuel Branco Teixeira.

It was a difficult game that failed to produce any goals in the entire 90 minutes until very late in the 94th minute when Issah Abass scored for his side.

The Ghanaian was introduced into the game in the 71st minute as a replacement for Joao Correia.

He has scored four goals for his side in 23 matches this season and was part of the Ghana U23 team that finished fourth place at the 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations in Egypt.
