Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Obiri Boahen has said the courts must not waste its time on the buffoonery being displayed by murderer of late J.B Danquah Adu, Daniel Asiedu following his latest revelation about the governing NPP hiring him to eliminate the former MP.

“Who takes such a crook serious. This is a person who has not been consistent with his confessions from day one. How can we take such a person serious. He’s taking the whole process for a joke and I blame the prosecution for this. Today he’ll tell us NDC contracted me, tomorrow I’ve missed my wife and child and I want to see them, and the next day he wants to eat this and that. Aren’t we treating him with kid gloves? he questioned in an interview with Akwasi Nsiah on Si Me So on Kasapa 102.5 FM Wednesday.

Daniel Asiedu who is a prime suspect in the killing of J.B Danquah Adu yesterday declared in open court, during committal hearing that he was contracted by some NPP personalities to kill the then sitting legislator.

He also threatened to blow the cover of his contractors for failing to secure his freedom.

But Lawyer Nana Obiri Boahen who has followed the case in court says the delay of the trial is unfortunate urging the Police CID to force Daniel Asiedu to name his alleged contractors within the NPP.

He said the prime suspect is only scheming to sway the court in his trial asking the prosecutors to be hard on him to get to the bottom of his trial.

“Don’t let us even think he needs psychiatric treatment or anything. He’s just not a credible character. We should becareful he doesn’t deceive the whole country and throw us off-gear.”

Daniel Asiedu was arrested after he stabbed the late MP in his East Legon home while sleeping on the dawn of Tuesday February 9, 2016.
