The John Agyekum Foundation, would on Monday, August 20, launch the first ever "J.A Kufour Cup Match" at the residence of the former president, in Accra.

The launch, which would commence at 4:00pm, would be graced by members of the foundation, former and present ministers, members of parliament and stakeholders in football.

It would be used to formally announce the historic match between the two most glamorous clubs in Ghana; Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The two sides, would on Sunday, October 28, play a special football match to honour the former President John Agyekum Kufour.

The match dubbed "J.A. Kufour Cup Match", would be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

It forms part of activities marking the 80th birthday celebration of the former president and would be an annual event in honour of the former president.

According to the organisers, the JA Kufour Foundation, the two clubs have been dully notified of the match and would willing to honour the match.

The match, which would be an annual event, would see the procceeds going into the coffers of the foundation to help support the numeorus leadership proggrammes under the foundation.

The JA Kufour Foundation is aimed at establishing peaceful, well governed and economically sustainable societies in Ghana and Africa.
