Ghanaian youngster Jalal Abdullai was once again on the scoresheet for IF Elfsborg, helping them secure a 2-0 victory over Sheriff Tiraspol in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers on Thursday.
The win, combined with their 1-0 advantage from the first leg, saw Elfsborg advance with a 3-0 aggregate score. Abdullai opened the scoring just two minutes into the match, thanks to an assist from veteran defender Niklas Hult.
Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo doubled Elfsborg's lead in the 73rd minute, with Swedish forward Simon Hedlund providing the assist.
Ghana U23 defender Terry Yegbe played the full match, contributing to Elfsborg's solid defensive performance.
Abdullai's goal takes his tally for the 2024 season to six goals in 16 appearances across all competitions.
