Liverpool’s injury crisis deepened as Jeremie Frimpong was ruled out for six weeks with a recurring hamstring injury, sustained during the club’s 5–1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt last week.

The 24-year-old full-back, who joined from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, has Ghanaian roots but represents the Netherlands internationally. His absence comes at a critical moment, with Liverpool losing six of their last seven matches across competitions.

Club sources told Liverpool Confidential that Frimpong is unlikely to return before early December, missing a brutal fixture run.

Frimpong is set to miss a handful of games for the reigning English champions with Premier League and UEFA Champions League matches inclusive:

  • Aston Villa- Premier League

  • Real Madrid- UEFA Champions League

  • Manchester City- Premier League

  • Nottingham Forest- Premier League

  • PSV Eindhoven- UEFA Champions League

The six matches in 17 days will test manager Arne Slot’s squad depth, especially at right back, where options are now limited.

Frimpong’s injury compounds a frustrating start to his Anfield career, with fitness issues disrupting his rhythm despite his reputation for pace and attacking flair.
