The John Agyekum Kufuor's anniversary cup match between Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC and Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC has been rescheduled to play on 30th December 2018.

The two clubs were scheduled to face each other on December 1st to to celebrate the 80th birthday of the former president.

However, due to Asante Kotoko's participation in continental football the date had to be shifted to December 30th.

The Porcupine Warriors confirmed the change in date on their twitter handle.

"Our J.A. Kuffour Cup match against regional rivals, Ashgold, has been postponed to December 30, 2018. Details coming up soon," the Reds posted.

This charity match being organized by Primeval Media under the auspices of the John Agyekum Kufuor (JAK) Foundation, look to raise funds amounting to GH¢80 million cedis for the various developments and leadership projects under the foundation.

Meanwhile, the funds raised from the match would be channelled to various project with five million dollars allocated to the construction of an ultra-modern Centre for Leadership and Governance at the University of Ghana.

Investment returns would be used for the running of the various projects of the Foundation, which includes The Kufuor Scholars Programme (KSP), The Kufuor Young Entrepreneurs Network, Annual Lecture Series on Governance and Development, The Kufuor Election Observers Group, and The Kufuor Prize for Best Community Leadership.
