Medeama SC initiated the game with a strong start, but Accra Lions displayed remarkable resilience and quickly shifted the momentum in their favor.

In the 18th minute, the visitors executed an impressive team move that led to Samuel Gyimah finding the back of Medeama SC's net, giving Accra Lions the lead.

Despite trailing at halftime, the hosts refused to give up and delivered an impressive performance in the second half. Parity was restored to the match in the 56th minute when newly-signed Daniel Lomotey scored with a splendid effort to level the score at 1-1.
