Ghanaian forward Jonathan Sowah has increased his goal tally for the season to a whopping twelve after netting for Singida Black Stars SC who defeated Dodoma Jiji on Wednesday in the Tanzanian Premier League.
Sowah, who has been in some blistering form for Singida, doubled the visitors lead with just six minutes played at the Jamhuri Stadium, after they got the initial lead via Arthur Bada under the first minute of the game as they amassed all three points t on the road, going a long way to keeping them in the Top Four on the league log.
His teammate and compatriot, Emmanuel Keyeke also grabbed an assist in the game when he set up the opener for Bada. The former Kotoko midfielder has also been in great form for the Tanzanian outfit.
The home side pulled one back from the boot of Iddi Kipagwile in the 44th minute but that was not enough to save them from a devastating home loss.
The victory builds Singida’s points to 56 points and they are currently seated in fourth place – a spot that qualifies them for the CAF Confederation Cup next season as the draw closer to the end of the campaign with just a game to play.
Jonathan Sowah, who began his professional career with Ghanaian second tier side Danbort FC before joining Medeama SC in the Ghanaian top flight , has now scored 12 goals in 12 league matches Singida Black Stars.
He joined Singida from Libya outfit Al Nasr in a deal reported to be in the region of $220,000. He has featured for the Black Stars of Ghana three times since making his debut in the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Comoros in 2023.
