Ghana forward Jordan Ayew continued his impressive pre-season form by scoring and assisting in Crystal Palace’s 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Stateside Cup in the United States.

Despite substantial interest from Premier League side Leicester City and speculation about his future at Selhurst Park, Ayew has been making a strong case for himself during the pre-season tour.

The 32-year-old forward's performances could influence Crystal Palace’s decision regarding his status at the club, especially given his reduced role since Oliver Glasner’s appointment as coach.

In the match against Wolves, Ayew made a significant impact. The game began with a goal from his compatriot Jeffrey Schlupp, who capitalized on a mistake by Wolves' goalkeeper to score from outside the box.

Ayew extended Palace’s lead in the second half. After receiving a long pass from goalkeeper Dean Henderson, he fired a precise shot to score.

Although Wolves pulled one back in the 90th minute through Santiago Bueno, Ayew added the final touch by assisting Asher Agbinone for the third goal.

Ayew's continued strong performances in pre-season could make a compelling case for his retention at Crystal Palace, despite the growing interest from other Premier League clubs.
