Leicester City fans have voted Jordan Ayew's first goal for the club as their Goal of the Month for August 2024.

The Ghanaian forward's spectacular strike came in the Foxes' emphatic 4-0 win over Tranmere Rovers in the EFL Cup.

The 30-year-old netted his maiden goal for Leicester City in his first start for the club at the King Power Stadium, following a substitute appearance the previous weekend.

Ayew made his mark in the 38th minute with a thunderous shot from outside the penalty area, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.

The announcement of Ayew's Goal of the Month award came in the early hours of Tuesday, September 10, reflecting the excitement and admiration from the club's supporters for his impressive performance.

Ayew joined Leicester City on a two-year deal in the summer transfer window after ending his six-year stay with Crystal Palace.

The Ghana international is expected to play a crucial role for Steve Cooper's side as they aim to secure their Premier League status following their recent promotion.

Looking ahead, Ayew is expected to feature when Leicester City face his former club, Crystal Palace, in the Premier League this Saturday.
