Jordan Ayew’s second goal in as many matches secured a 1-0 victory for Crystal Palace against lower division side Grimsby Town on Saturday.

The Ghanaian cane of the bench to score a late winner to put the Eagles into the FA Cup fourth round as they finally broke down a resolute Grimsby, who played with 10 men for almost the entire match.

Palace had 30 attempts on goal, only to be repelled by Grimsby's fine defence.

But with less than four minutes to go, Ayew won a free-kick which was curled into the area by Schlupp, and his fellow Ghanaian was there to head past McKeown and ensure the Eagles’ place in round four.

Ayew has now scored in back-to-back games for the first time since March 2018 (for Swansea City).
