Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil played a pivotal role in LA Galaxy's thrilling 3-2 win over Colorado Rapids on Thursday in MLS action at Dignity Health Sports Park.

Paintsil, who started the match and played 85 minutes, was a constant threat throughout the game.

The match kicked off with Diego Fagúndez scoring for Galaxy in the 12th minute, with an assist from Gabriel Pec. The Rapids equalized in the 32nd minute through Kévin Cabral's left-footed strike.

However, Paintsil restored Galaxy's lead, converting a close-range shot after a swift counter-attack involving Pec.

Riqui Puig extended Galaxy's advantage just before half-time, scoring with an assist from Paintsil. Although Cole Bassett managed to pull one back for the Rapids, Galaxy held on to secure the win.

Paintsil has been a standout performer in the 2024 MLS season, featuring in 21 games, scoring seven goals, and providing five assists.

His impressive display against the Rapids highlighted his skills and significant contributions to Galaxy's success.

With this victory, LA Galaxy continues to climb the MLS standings, bolstered by Paintsil's exceptional performances.
