Julius Emunah is poised to become the new Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak, following his resignation from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) after almost a decade of service.
Emunah began his journey in football administration in 2016 as Western Regional Secretary of the GFA before rising to become Regional Administrative Manager of the Western Region Football Association, a role he held until 2020.
His competence at the regional level saw him move to the national stage, where he served as National Safety and Security Officer and later Club Licensing Manager from 2020 to 2024.
At Hearts of Oak, Emunah will replace Delali Anku-Adiamah, who served as Managing Director from February 2024 to December 2025.
In his new role, he will be responsible for the club’s day-to-day operations, managing relationships with key football authorities such as the GFA and the Premier League Board, and reporting directly to the Hearts of Oak Board of Directors while working closely with the Executive Chairman.
The appointment comes at a critical time for the Phobians, who have been grappling with administrative and operational challenges.
Emunah is expected to bring structure, professionalism and improved governance to one of Ghana’s most storied football clubs as Hearts of Oak look to steady the ship and return to sustained success.
