Actress Kafui Danku has taken a swipe at Gabby Otchere-Darko after the influential government advisor sought to shoot down the relevance of the Ghana film industry.

Ghanaian actress Kafui Danku has hit out at Gabby Otchere-Darko in what the actress believes is Otchere-Darko's failure to face facts about the film industry in Ghana. Danku is the second actress to criticise comments by Otchere-Darko.

Gabby Otchere-Darko who is an avowed member and strategist of the governing New Patriotic Party, is also related to the president, Nana Akufo-Addo. As such, he is thought to have a say in power.

But the political strategist did not make some in the film industry happy when he said the Ghanaian film industry was not contributing as much as it could to the country.

But reacting to a tweet by the leading member of the NPP, Kafui Danku indicated that there is the need for a conversation on the state of movies in Ghana.

She however wrote: "Honestly, I wish we can have this conversation openly and I also wish people will forget about their position and age and face bare facts. I wish.... I wish... I wish.

@yvonnenelsongh I want to talk, not type !

I can see some "SERIOUS" people blabbing."

Meanwhile Yvonne Nelson has also, made her thoughts known in tweets, one targeting influential government advisor, Gabby Otchere-Darko over the same issue.

According to Nelson, "people in high places just don't know our struggles. It's unbelievable."
