Former Right to Dream Academy prospect Jamal Sowah was on the score sheet for his side OH Leuven in the second tier of the Belgium league.

The Leicester City owned player on loan at sister club OH Leuven opened the scores for his side as they beat Westerlo by 2-1 at the King Power at Den Dreef Stadion.

Sowah scored in the 23rd minute of their game Friday before Thomas Henry added a second three minutes later but the away side Westerlo reduced the deficit some five minutes later before the home team held on for a tense finish in the second half.

The central midfielder has made 11 appearances for his side this season scoring two goals while providing an assist.

Sowah after a  successful trial, signed his first professional contract with Leicester City on 31 January 2018, tying him to the club until the summer of 2022.

Later that same day Sowah was loaned to Oud-Heverlee Leuven, a club also owned by King Power owner of Leicester City, for one and a half seasons to gain more experience.

OH Leuven lie top of the Belgian first division B league after 12 rounds of matches with 25 points while nearest rival Westerlo are 3 points adrift.
