Karela United secured a 3-1 victory over Berekum Chelsea at their newly adopted Aliu Mahama stadium in Tamale. Karela United, who started the season with a 2-1 loss to Legon Cities, hosted their opponents at their new home following their move from the CAM Park at Aiyinase.

Evans Adomako was the star of the match, scoring a brace for Karela United.

He opened the scoring in the 19th minute and added to the tally in the 53rd minute. George Amonoo extended the lead further with a second-half strike in the 63rd minute.

Berekum Chelsea fought back strongly and managed to pull one back when Stephen Amankona converted from the spot in the 78th minute.
