Ghana and FC Basel defender Kasim Nuhu Adams grabbed the winning goal for his side in extra-time against French side OGC Nice in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday evening.

FC Basel won the match at the Allianz Riviera stadium 2-1 on Thursday evening after the first leg clash ended 2-2 in Switzerland.

The Swiss side have now booked their place in the last four on a 4-3 aggregate after the two-legged fixture.

Nice took the lead after a dominant start in the 9th minute of the game through striker Gaetan Laborde.

Things quickly unraveled as with barely some four minutes to end the game, former PSG striker Jean-Kevin Augustin to level the score and send the game into extra-time.

The game went into extra-time before the towering Ghanaian defender scored in the 98th minute to hand his side the win and a place in the last four of the 2022/23 UEFA Europa Conference League.

Kasim Adams has scored two goals and provided an assist in 40 matches for FC Basel since joining them on a season-long loan deal from German Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim.
