Ghanaian forward, Kelvin Boateng has joined Austrian top flight side, FK Austria Wien ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The 25-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Austrian Bundesliga outfit, which will see him ply his trade until June 2029.

Boateng was with First Vienna, a Second Division side in Austria, joined them in June 2023 on a permanent deal from Slovak club, Spartak Trnava after which he was loaned out to Czech Republic side, MFK Karvina.

Having enjoyed limited playing time during his first season in the second division, the former Right To Dream attacker still stood out during the 2024/25 campaign, bagging 12 goals and providing one assist in 20 outings across all competitions for his side.

His run of form attracted top flight teams and is now being snapped up by Wien, who finished third in the Bundesliga in the just ended season.

"I decided to move to Austria Wien because the club had been really keen on me for a long time. The people in charge have followed my progress and have always been in dialogue with me," he said

"I can't wait to get to know my teammates and get started here.” Boateng added.
