First Vienna FC delivered an impressive performance in the 2. Liga's Round 13, defeating Austria Lustenau 3-0 at Stadion Hohe Warte.
Ghanaian striker Kelvin Boateng was the standout performer, scoring a brilliant brace to help his side secure a commanding win.
Boateng opened the scoring early in the sixth minute, finishing calmly after receiving a precise pass from Bernhard Luxbacher.
The striker then doubled his tally in the 24th minute, expertly controlling a long ball from goalkeeper Unger and slotting it home with poise to make it 2-0.
Lustenau struggled to cope with Vienna’s pressing game and creativity, failing to break down their opponents.
As the game neared its conclusion, Gionte Diomandé sealed the victory for Vienna in the 83rd minute, tapping in a rebound after Edelhofer’s shot was saved by Lustenau’s goalkeeper.
Boateng’s brace brought his total to six goals for the season in just 12 appearances, highlighting his critical role in Vienna’s rise up the league table.
First Vienna FC will look to extend their winning form when they face Amstetten in their next league match on November 22nd.
