Ghana head coach Otto Addo has announced a revamped squad for this month’s international friendlies against Japan (Nov 14) and South Korea (Nov 18), with several key players sidelined due to injury.

Notably absent are:


  • Mohammed Kudus

  • Jordan Ayew

  • Thomas Partey

  • Alexander Djiku

  • Abdul Fatawu Issahaku

  • Joseph Paintsil

Their absence opens the door for new faces eager to make their mark on the senior stage as Otto Addo prepares to assemble his best players ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.

The new faces include the likes of:

Kelvin Nkrumah

The 18-year-old winger who has helped Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC gain emormous momentum in the title chase, alongside Prince Owusu, who also earned  his maiden call-up during the FIFA World Cup qualifiers in October, as their side, Medeama SC now sits second on the Ghana Premier League log. Nkrumah brings in an incredible sense of speed, dexterity and creativity into the fray.

Prince Kwabena Adu

The 22-year-old former Bechem United forward, who plies his trade in the Czech Republic First League for Viktoria Plzen has risen to great prominence in Europe over the past two seasons and this season, he has been in an incredible form, delivering great numbers across all competitions including the UEFA Europa League where he scored an incredible solo goal against Italian giants AS Roma as his side beat the 2022 UEFA Europa Conference League winners.

Prince Osei Owusu

German-born of Ghanaian descent, Prince Osei Owusu, who is captain for MLS side Montreal FC will representing Ghana for the first time and will do so in the Kirin Cup which comes off later this month.

Prince has been a pivotal figure for Montreal FC, leading as captain as he completed the 2025 campaign with 17 Goals and 3 Assists in 40 games across all competitions.

The 28-year-old, born and bred in Germany, has represented a host of clubs in his native country before joining Montreal CF earlier this year.

He also represented the German National team at youth levels— U15, U18, U19.
