Current National Organizer for the opposition National Democratic Party (NDC) Kofi Adams, has hinted on vying for another position within the party as has indicated that he will not seek re-election for his position when nominations are opened.

According to Mr. Adams, he has served well in his capacity as the National Organizer hence his decision to bow out gracefully and serve in another capacity to ensure the party obtains victory in 2020.

Speaking to Citi News, He, however, declined to reveal the next position he may occupy but has assured that in due time he will announce it.

He said; “I will be doing something else, what I intend doing, I am not announcing it now, when the time is up, you will see it, but I am not running for the office of National Organiser when nomination opens, ”

The NDC on Monday, July 16th  opened nominations for regional positions.

Last month, delegates of the party voted across the country to elect Constituency Executives.

This forms part of the party’s process of electing national officers ahead of the 2020 election.

The areas the voted include Odododiodioo in the Greater Accra Region, Bimbilla in the Nanumba North constituency, the Ashanti Region and the Volta Region.

The Akatsi South constituency election would have been marred by violence if the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Regional Executives, the Member of Parliament for the constituency and security personnel had not intervened.

Meanwhile, the party has set 7 December 2018 for its presidential primaries ahead of the 2020 polls.

This was announced by General Secretary Johnson Aseidu Nketia at a press conference in Accra on Thursday, 2 August 2018.

Mr Nketia, has directed that all hopefuls must first inform the party of their intention to contest before campaigning.
