Budding musician, Emmanuel Wayo, a son of maverick Ghanaian politician Kofi Wayo, has said he is hopeful his father will rule the country someday.

The singer, songwriter and rapper of the controversial politician was speaking in an interview on ClassFM on Monday, 19 November on his new song titled "Muscatella" featuring Joey B.

Asked by Prince Benjamin if he thinks his father can ever be president of Ghana, Mr Wayo said: “One day yeah, I believe it. I mean simply because he’s been talking about something for over twenty years and it manifests every time there’s a new government or what not, so, I believe.

“Everything that’s been happening, he said it twenty years ago; telling other people twenty years ago.

“So, I feel like: if things don’t change, there’s definitely going to be a day of reckoning when the people rise; these people will rise, when they rise, they need a leader that’s all about the truth.” He added.
