Ghanaian defender Kojo Peprah Oppong is drawing serious interest from top European clubs following a breakout season with Swedish top-flight side IFK Norrköping.

The 20-year-old center-back has caught the attention of Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, as well as Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray. English Premier League side Chelsea is also reportedly monitoring his progress closely.

Oppong, a product of Ghana’s renowned Attram DeVisser Academy, has made a name for himself with his composure, game intelligence, aerial prowess, and confidence on the ball. Since making the move to Sweden, he has quickly risen to become one of the standout young defenders in the Allsvenskan.

His consistent performances have not only strengthened IFK Norrköping’s defense but also raised his profile on the European scouting radar. Leipzig, in particular, are said to be keen, given their track record of developing young talent.

Despite interest from elite clubs, Oppong remains under contract with Norrköping until 2026, giving the Swedish club leverage in any potential transfer discussions. However, the growing list of suitors could set the stage for a significant summer move if a suitable offer is tabled.

In addition to the German and Turkish sides, Danish clubs FC Midtjylland and FC Copenhagen are also reportedly tracking the highly-rated Ghanaian as they look to bolster their squads with emerging talent.

With the transfer window approaching, Oppong’s future looks poised for a major step forward on the European stage.
