Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko have clashed over a proposed date for their rescheduled  President Cup match, ghanaguardian has gathered.

The two perennial rivals are to return to the Baba Yara stadium to replay the game to honour the presidency, but the Porcupines have rejected the proposed date of 13 October, citing numerous challenges.

While the Phobians are reported to have expressed readiness to return to the Baba Yara Stadium for the duel, the Kumasi-based side have called for extension to be fully set for the game.

According to a report by Oyerepa FM, the CAF Champions League campaigners, in a response to a letter, have told the  organizers-Ghana League Clubs Associations (GHALCA)- that they can only honour the game after the WAFU Championships, having contributed  6 players to the Black Star B team.

The Porcupines also want to have full concentration of on their participation in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League, the report added.

The original game played on the 8th of September had to be cancelled after 7 minutes of play due to poor condition of the pitch caused by a heavy downpour.

It is not yet known if the Phobians will agree to a change of date, having disagreed with Kotoko on numerous occasions.
