Asante Kotoko and Kano Pillars observed a minute's silence in tribute to the late Ghanaian forward Junior Agogo, before their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round match on Sunday.
The Ex-Black Stars striker died in London on Thursday at the age of 40 after a long battle with stroke.
Agogo will be remembered for his eye-catching performances for the Black Stars during the 2008 Nations Cup on home soil.
The former Nottingham Forest and Zamalek player spent most of his professional career in England and scored a total of 113 goals in 350 league games over 15 years.
