Kumasi Asante Kotoko have put aside their fierce rivalry with Accra Hearts of Oak to congratulate them after the capital based club won the MTN FA Cup against AshantiGold on Sunday.

It is the second trophy Accra Hearts of Oak have won this season after clinching a domestic double their sixth time of chalking such enviable feat.

The porcupine warriors who were challenging the phobians for the league title and at some point led by seven points ultimately lost the league title to them and also missed out on the MTN FA Cup after they were dumped bat the semi finals stage by Berekum Chelsea.

Kotoko failed miserable after ending the season empty handed as they were beaten to the Ghana Premier League title by Accra Hearts of Oak.

Accra Hearts of Oak edged Obuasi AshantiGold after a grueling MTN FA Cup finals which failed to produce any goals despite AshGold getting some golden opportunities.

After 120 minutes the match headed into the lottery of penalties where the phobians won after beating the miners 8-7.

Kotoko on Monday morning took to their social media handles to applaud their fierce rivals for winning the double.
