Asante Kotoko's assistant coach, David Ocloo, has expressed determination ahead of their clash against Hearts of Oak, aiming for a third consecutive victory over their arch-rivals.

The highly anticipated match between Ghana's two most illustrious clubs is scheduled for Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the Accra Sports Stadium, kicking off at 6 pm.

This fixture holds special significance as it commemorates 30 years of democratic practice in West Africa. Ocloo emphasized the importance of participating in the Democracy Cup, praising it as a commendable initiative.

Despite significant player turnover at the end of the season, Ocloo remains confident in Kotoko's ability to compete against Hearts of Oak.

"We have undergone good training sessions, and I believe we are prepared to silence Hearts of Oak. Having secured victories over them twice before, we are determined to make it a third consecutive win," Ocloo stated.

In the previous 2023/24 Ghana Premier League campaign, Asante Kotoko emerged victorious in back-to-back encounters against Hearts of Oak, bolstering their confidence heading into this decisive match.

Before the main event, parliamentarians and former Black Stars players will also compete at the Accra Sports Stadium, adding to the excitement surrounding the day's festivities.
