Kotoko granted permission by CAF to play Al Hilal at the Tamale Stadium

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play their next CAF Champions League game in Tamale the capital of the Northern Region.

The club have persistently decided against playing at the Accra Sports Stadium where they initially chose as their first choice home grounds with the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale their second choice.

Kotoko have been given the all clear by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to use the Tamale Sports Stadium as their home grounds in their next game against Al Hilal.

The club officially wrote to CAF seeking their approval to play their next match at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale which has been granted by the governing body.

This has also been confirmed by the Kotoko Communications team that the club have been handed the all clear to play their next game against Al Hilal of Sudan at Tamale.

The Kotoko game will come off on Wednesday 23rd December,2020 before traveling to Sudan for the second leg game a week later.

Kotoko last played at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in 2017 when they defeated fierce rivals Hearts of Oak in the MTN FA Cup finals.
