Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Sunday endured an excruciating elimination at the hands of Tunisian side Etoile Sportive du Sahel.

The porcupine warriors lost by 3 goals to nil despite playing with a man advantage for 12 minutes.

Since their elimination the inquest has started in earnest with coach of the team Kjetil Zachariassen incuring the wrath of some supporters with his comments that his team's real level is the second tier Confederations Cup.

But former Hearts of Oak and Ifeanyi Ubah gaffer, Yaw Preko believes that the Kotoko side who lost to Etoile is not a bad side and all they need is the patience and time for them to gel.

According to him most club administrators are too impatient and always want short term overnight.

"This Kotoko team is not bad individually but they need time to gel and that cohesion and then the philosophy which the coach wants to implement.

"They have a very good team but personally I think the time was too short to try and beat an experienced Etoile side who have been playing African club competitions for a long time."

"Even If they lose away the don't fear because they know they will eliminate you at home."

"They must take their time and build a team sometime you learn from losing matches like this"

"They should descend into the Confederations cup and give it their all they can go places" he emphasized.
