Disgruntled Kumasi Asante Kotoko have petitioned the Confederation of African Football (CAF) about what they claim is false COVID-19 results being churned out by their host Al Hilal.

The second leg of the CAF Champions League game between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Al Hilal Omdurman has been called off.

This follows disagreements between the two clubs about tests results of COVID-19 carried out in Sudan.

According to Kotoko just as they were about to leave their team hotel, an official of Al Hilal came in and presented to them a typed letter stating the results of the seven players and four officials who had tested positive for COVID-19.

The team lodged a complaint with the match commissioner after which they proceeded to lodge a protest with CAF through the GFA.

Per the results seven Kotoko players have been infected with COVID-19 while four officials also tested positive.
