Kumasi Asante Kotoko got saved from a ferocious Hearts attack after a torrential rainfall at Baba Yara stadium forced Referee Agbovi  to call of the 2017 President cup match.

The home side who had controlled and taken the lead in the first half through a Sadick Adams penalty, surprisingly lost their bite to the Phobians, who came into the second half firing from all angles, earning an equaliser from their effort.

Vincent Atinga lashed on to a lose ball after the under-pressured kotoko defenders failed to clear the corner from Patrick Razak, who came on for Bright Lukman.

Both teams are chasing their 5th title in the competition played to honour the President of the nation, However it was  the series of Hearts attacks that kept Steve Pollack' s men at bay, as victory looked certain for the Phobians.

With the heavens opened and showing no signs of slowing down, the looming defeat to the porcupine warriors was curtailed and they live to fight another day as referee William Agbovi  abruptly brought the game to an abrupt end, hoping that it will be replayed same time tomorrow.
