New Kotoko coach Kjetil Zachariassen began his Kotoko reign with training on Monday at the club’s Adako Jachie training pitch.
The former Ashgold trainer who replaced C.K Akunnor was confirmed by the Kumasi based club on Saturday penning a three year contract.
Zachariassen applauded the Kotoko squad and also hailed the club as having fantastic facilities similar to what is on display at former club Ashgold.
“We have a good squad and the facilities here are excellent for the players and Kotoko staff
Quizzed about the likelihood of pressure mounting on him from the fans, the Norwegian insisted that the supporters are his friends.
“The supporters is our friends and so pressure from the supporters I do understand that If we do our work well as we know how to do we gonna be fine.
The supporters must help us they are there to help us and we know they love this club that is why I am here also because I love the club” he added.
Zachariassen has been tasked with helping the porcupine warriors reach at least the group stages of the Caf Champions league in his first season.
