Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum is confident his team’s morale has been significantly bolstered following a crucial 2-0 victory over Aduana FC in Dormaa during match week 12 of the Ghana Premier League.
Goals from Patrick Asiedu and Albert Amoah in each half ended the Porcupine Warriors' four-game losing streak and marked their first win in five matches.
Addressing the media after the match, Ogum expressed optimism about the road ahead:
"I think we have started, we’ve won, and I believe the confidence of the boys will go up. Teams that always win are very confident and united."
He added, "Once we’ve won, I’m sure the confidence will bounce back, and they will stick together more and work harder because this is just the beginning of better things to come."
The victory propelled Kotoko to seventh place on the league table with 18 points from 12 matches, reducing their gap to the league leaders to five points.
With renewed momentum, Ogum will look to capitalize on this success as his team aims to climb higher in the standings.
